Barkarbystaden

Electropower was commissioned by the grid owner to be responsible for detailed design in the area. Over a period of approximately four years, the company delivered around 4,000 hours of engineering work, distributed across roughly 30 projects in several development phases. Barkarbystaden is currently the largest urban development area in Stockholm County.

GRID STUDY
Veddesta New Development Area

The grid study included the development of an overall grid plan for a new area with approximately 12,000 planned homes, retail, schools, and other activities. The purpose was to develop a long-term plan for how the local grid should be built to meet future power demand.

GRID STUDY
Stockholm Archipelago

Analysis of the current situation and identification of risks in the power grid, as well as assessment of capacity and availability for the entire local grid in Ljusterö. Strategic proposals were developed for expansion and reinforcement of the local grid, including subdivision into two regional substations. The work also included designing and simulating a complete future grid.

16 MW customer connection

Electropower was responsible for planning a 16 MW medium-voltage connection for one of Europe’s largest cold storage and freezing facilities. The assignment also included dimensioning and grid calculations of the local grid, with a total of approximately 7 km of trenching. The delivery also included project management and coordination with the end customer to ensure technical compliance.

DESIGN & ENGINEERING
Varberga –Örebro

Development of proposals for reinforcement and reconstruction of the power grid in Varberga. Electropower delivered a complete future grid model in a planning system and ensured that the grid structure meets the customer’s requirements for security of supply, robustness, and future readiness.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Stockholm East and West

Electropower was commissioned to be responsible for project and construction management across several projects with a total project volume of approximately SEK 100 million. The assignment included follow-up of contractor work regarding work environment, quality, timelines, and costs, as well as ensuring that projects were executed in accordance with technical requirements and applicable standards.

SYSTEM STUDY
Stockholm

The assignment included analysis of the entire electrical system in the Stockholm area, covering approximately 140,000 customers and 32 regional substations. The work included capacity and vulnerability analyses, as well as the development of load forecasts for 32 grid areas. Electropower also developed a calculation methodology and an analysis tool for this purpose.
